Do I want basic filtration?

The original and main purpose of an air filter is to keep your equipment clean. A simple fiberglass or polyester panel filter will do that job well enough. Filter Monkey provides many filters to fit any of your needs. Filter Monkey sells quality filters that help control allergens, odors, dust, etc.

Can Filter Monkey replace my filter for me?

No, Filter Monkey does not provide service. But you can visit Comfort Central’s website to find a reputable service contractor, for all your HVAC needs.

How do I find my filter on Filter Monkey?

Searching to find a filter that fits your needs is easy. Simply go to the search tool at the top of the page and enter the information you know. If your filter is 12 inches wide 13 inches tall and 1 inch thick enter your search as 12x13x1. It’s that easy! The other option is browsing our library by selecting a category under the “Browse the Jungle” section.

How do I know what size filter I want?

To figure out what size filter you need remove the old filter and look at the side, the size should be labeled on the side of the filter. The filter’s size will be printed in a format such as 12x13x1 which means 12 inches wide by 13 inches tall by 1 inch thick.

How do I control visible, atmospheric dust?

Visible dust particles start at about 10 microns in size. Standard pleated filters are a good and economical way of controlling the most annoying visible atmospheric dust particles.

What is a MERV rating?

Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, or MERV for short, is a filter rating system devised by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to standardize and simplify filter efficiency ratings for the public. The higher the MERV rating, the higher the efficiency of the air filter. Therefore, a filter with a rating of 12 will remove smaller particles from the air than a filter with a MERV rating of 8.
